Spring Fashion And Texas Weather!

I've been loving the springtime!! 

The great colors, the nice weather! Everything about spring is fantastic!

And, I've definitely done some shopping lately. :) 

Capris!

I have been loving Capris lately. I hate wearing pants all the time. So, capris are my favorite bottom piece of clothing! 

I recently purchased these from Rue 21. They are very comfy. They're around $27. If you do not have a rue 21 around you, you can find these on the internet. I do not have the specific name for them but if you go to Rue21.com and look under jeans you should be able to find them. 

Chiffon Sheer Tops! 

I really love these tops for spring. They give me enough coverage for this time of the year but they also aren't so thick and bulky and hot which is great for springtime in Texas. Because it tends to get really hot here. Like today March 15 it is 80 degrees. 

I also purchased this top at Rue 21. (there was a sale) This one was about $20 I got it in the color shown above. In coral. You can also find this on Rue21.com

Flats! 

These are knock off tom's. I am in love with them. They are the So cream lace flats from Kohl's. They are around $25. I haven't purchased them yet but I do plan to. In the future. :)

I have these Van's and I wear them everywhere. I wear them with my capris. My skinny jeans. My flare jeans. Everything. They were on sale when I bought them. They were about $20. I bought them 2 years ago. I don't know if you can still find them and buy them. I bought them on Journeys.com. I bet you might able to. I don't know what they are called.

American Horror Story!!

I know I am always like a year late with all my TV shows and junk.

But, I just finished American Horror Story on Netflix. And it was AMAZING.. I'm so pissed there's no season 2! I need more!! lol. 

If you are like me and live under a rock and don't find out about TV shows until they're 2 years old and on Netflix. Then let me explain what American Horror Story is... It is about a family who are obviously having alot of trouble so they move to the good ol' city of angels. (los angeles) To get a "fresh start", but the previous owners of the house they move into are victims of a murder/suicide and died in the house... But, they decide to buy the damn house and say fuck it... 

As we go on in the show we realize their have been more murders, suicides, deaths that they haven't known about. If you like freaky ghosty shows. Then this show is perfect for you. It's a little scary, very morbid, gory, and gross.But, the story line is great it has tons of cliff hangers. I seriously watched all 12 40 minute long episodes within like 3 days. I just wanted to keep watching and watching and watching. 

The main characters are Ben, the husband & father who is also a shrink. Vivien, the mother & wife. And Violet, the misunderstood teenage daughter. (whom I love) I wish I could delve deeper into this show but I don't wanna give any spoilers! But I seriously give it 5 out of 5 stars.

Beautiful Creatures Review. (Book & Movie)

Let's start with the book. 

Great book. Loved it. I loved the scenery, the characters, the story line. It was fantastic. It kept me wanting more. At the beginning I was quite skeptical. It took me a while to finish the book because it was 500 something pages. And I wanted to finish the book around the same time the movie came out. I got the book about a month before the movie came out. And I took my time. 

It is basically about witches or "casters" as they are referred to in the book. And teenagers fallin in love. Ya know? Basic love story. The teenage girl is a "caster" and the boy is a mortal. It's set in Gaitlin, South Carolina. The South!! Being a Texan I enjoy when books and movies are set in a Southern place. 

Than as it proceeds battle between good and evil.. battle of being weird in high school. But.. overall I really enjoyed the book. Even though I felt as if it was kind of like every other teenage supernatural love story.

It kept me on my toes. It left me stumped at times and I felt a connection to the characters. When I finish a good book I am one of those people who are left feeling like wtf am I supposed to do kind of thing. The good news is that there is in fact more books! Do not fear it doesn't stop here!!! Bad thing is I haven't got around to getting it yet. I will try my best to get it and complete it within the next month or two. And write a review on it... :) 

Movie

Moving on to this dreadful movie. If you read the book.. DO NOT go see this movie.. If you haven't read the book DO NOT go see this movie!!! It sucks. Either way you look at it, it fucking sucks. (excuse my french but it was baaad) Me and my boyfriend went to see it together. I of course had read the book. He did not. It was nothing the movie. At all. Nothing even remotely close. The only thing that was the same was the names of the characters. And yes I understand they can't make a 2 hour movie exactly like a 500 page book. But that's not what I'm asking for. I want it to be at least sorta similar. Keep the story line the same. I do not want to give any spoilers at all here so I'm not going to go into detail of how different they were. But, I am going to recommend the BOOK, NOT the movie. Wait until it comes out on redbox so you don't have to waste like $10 on the movie.

February Beauty Favorites!

I know I'm a little late on this! Sorry everyone! 

1) Maybelline Baby Lips 

I have the one in 25 Pink Punch. That would be the pink one second from the left.  

It has a great fruity smell. It was like $3 at Wal-mart! It is a balm/ lipcolor. It's great. I am obsessed!

2) London Soho New York Beauty Sponge

This product is a beauty sponge. It's kind of like a knock off of the Beauty Blender. It was seriously like $5 at Wal-mart. It works great! It really helps blend in my foundation. 

 3) Sinful Colors Professional in 947 Mint Apple 

I love this color! It's a great Spring color. It's a great mint color. It looks pastelly. I love pastel colors for spring. This product was $2 at Wal-mart. 

4) Revlon Nearly Naked foundation 

I have this foundation in 130 shell. I think this may be one of the lightest colors you can get. (correct me if I'm wrong) I don't know for sure! It is great for me. It is a really light coverage foundation. i like that. I don't like heavy foundations. i don't like feeling cakey. This foundation def gives me enough coverage without feeling yucky. It stays on practically all day for me! $8 at Wal-mart. 

5) Maybelline The Falsies Flared mascara! 

I have been seeing this mascara everywhere! Everyone has seriously been raving about it, I now know why! I went out and bought it and I love it now! It is one of the best mascara's. It really does make my eyelashes super long looking and it's not that clumpy! $5 at Wal-mart! 

Last but not least! 

6) Tree Hut Shea Sugar Body Scrub 

OMG!!!

That is how crazy excited I am about this product I went to Ulta and found this! I got the Brazillan Nut. But, my friend purchased the blue one (I believe it's the coconut lime). I prefered this one over the others because I like more deeper vanilla stronger smells. Where as the blue one kind of smelt mentholly to me. I don't know. This is so great! It's a great exofoliater! ( my boyfriend seriously uses this almost more than I do) I use this about 2-3 a week. Only because I don't want to exfoliate EVERYDAY. Lol. It makes me skin feel refreshed! $8 at Ulta! Go pick some up!

Oh Jeez.!

It has been quite a long time since I have blogged I've been doing a ton of stuff! 

I just got over being sick. (Blagh) 

So, I figured I'd put up a blog. 

I guess I'm just going to fill you in on what I've been doing.. I've started a new workout. i've been doing insanity. I was pretty sick for the last 2 weeks though. I've been slacking pretty bad.. So, today I'm gonna jump back on that shit. Lol. I've been to the Movies a few times in the past few months. So, I plan to blog about some of those. I've bought new clothes lately! (Spring time!!!) I've got new makeup/beauty products! I read some books. I watched some Tv shows! lol. I have done a lot of new stuff lately. I plan to blog about ALL of those within this week.! Please! Video Games! Diablo 3

Video Game Day! 

So today is my first Video Game day blog!!!! 

My boyfriend and I have been playing Diablo 3 since it came out and now I've decided to talk to you guys about it!

Diablo 3 is an action role playing game on the PC(also known as a button masher). I find it pretty fun. You get to pick who you want to be out of a Barbarian, Witch Doctor, Monk, Wizard, or a Demon Hunter. I am a Wizard and my boyfriend is a Barbarian.

We are both level 60 now. Although, he is level 35 paragon and i am only 7. The paragon levels are pretty much just you leveling up after you've already hit 60. The higher your level the better equipment and armor you have. The better armor and equipment you have the better your magic find is! And the better your magic find is the cooler shit you can find and sell for real money on the auction house. Which is pretty cool. There are 4 difficulty levels on D3, Normal, Nightmare, Hell, and Inferno. 

Just go play the game! lol And if you already play the game just comment below and tell me about your D3 experience!

Gossip Girl!

I have been attempting to catch up on GG all day on Netflix. I'm on season 5 ep. 23. The drama is soo intense! Chucks dad is alive.? What? Dan's going to Rome.. Blah. I am NOT a fan of Blair & Dan. Blegh. Serena & Dan for life!!! Lol. Chuck and Blair make the absolute greatest team. They need to be together!
And this whole Serena is GG.? What a crazy turn of events. But I'm glad the real GG is finallllly back!
So, now on to this Lola Rhodes character. I am not a fan. She needs to pack up her suitcase and move back to Florida or wherever she came from. She's so judgemental to the gang, but at the drop of a dime she is all ready to go scheme.against others. Get outta here hypocrite.
Who would've thought that Diana wasn't Chucks mom but just covering for his dad! Who yes is still alive! & can now come out of hiding because the dude who was threatening him got caught and put in jail.
This next character is a character who really doesn't get enough credit for just how great she is!! Dorota! I absolutely LOVE her! She is hilarious and so sweet-hearted!

Fashion!

Let's talk about Fashion!

 Some clothes I've been loving lately are.... JEGGINGS!! 

These specific jeggings are from Kohl's. I got a pair of these right before Christmas for about $17 on sale, regular price is like $25. I am not a stick thin girl. I am very curvy so I feel that jeggings fit to my curves and are much more comfortable than regular jeans. I'm 5 feet tall and a size 11 in jeans, so sometimes it's terribly hard for me to find pants that fit me correctly. (most jeans that are size 11 are way too long for my short legs!) Skinny Jeggings however don't bag around my ankles too much because they are so form fitting! If you are looking for a pair of comfy jeggings but are not willing to spend outrageous amounts of money for them; go to Kohl's.!  

                                                                                                                                                                      

The next clothing item I've been obsessed with are OVER-SIZED SWEATERS!!

This sweater is also from Kohl's. It's a Chaps Fancy Cable Knit Crew Sweater.  Yes, I know it is a Men's sweater but I find they make the best over-sized fitting sweaters. The price on this is a little high for me as it is orig. $79.50. But, IT IS ON SALE NOW (don't get discouraged to quickly!) for $31.80. To find it just go to Kohls.com and search the name! I love over-sized sweaters but it has been a hard task trying to find them and not to mention finding very affordable ones too! Now, if you don't exactly prefer that one don't worry I have another one! This is the "It's our time ZigZag tunic Sweater in Juniors'". I actually bought this one at Kohls before Christmas when it was on sale! It is orig. $44. But! It is STILL ON SALE for only $30! I know, I know I have an obsession for Sale items! I love getting cute clothes for a great price! It is on sale online at kohls.com and they still have some in stock! So go go go! I pair this sweater with a black cami underneath with some tights or jeggings and a pair of boots or mocassins! Next up! Boots!

Every stylish girl this season has got to have at least one pair of really cute boots! My personal favorite are these Bamboo Slouchy boots. They are a little pricey but not much. They are usually $40. I have the Black ones. These boots are really comfy and they look really good! My sister owns the ones in Camel and they are super cute too! I've owned boots in the past that have been cheaply made and cost around $20. But, they didn't last very long they ripped at the zipper and the soles were almost wore all the way down! Spend the extra $20 and have these for next year too! If you live in heavily snowy areas i really can't say whether or not these are good for you. I live in Texas and they keep my feet here pretty warm. :) You can find these boots on Overstock.com for their usual $40.

                                                                                                                                                                     

Now for the leggings!

Oh hey! Guess where I purchased these! Kohls! Duh! These are the "Candie's Cable-knit Leggings". Original price- $38.. On SALE for- $24! Yep, that's right I found you guys yet another great sale item! I have the ones in gray. They have this pink and jet black in stock now. So, if you want either colors or both hurry over to Kohls.com before they go off sale. Or, go to the store. These are super comfy and warm!        ( warm enough for Texas weather anyway!)

Day #2! Book Reviews!

Today, I'm going to talk about the books I've been indulged in. 

The first one is "Marked" it's a "House of Night" novel. It is the first book out of a 7 book series. (I know! That's a lot of books!) At first I was like "eh, I don't know if I want to read this." It seemed as though the author was trying WAY to hard to be a teenager and talk like one with slang and such. (It was awful!) But, as I continued to read the book it completely sucked me in! I finished the book (it's 300 pages) in less than 24 hours because I refused to put it down. If you enjoy fiction, fantasy and suspenseful books, I HIGHLY recommend this series. It has Vampires, high school, creepy stuff and boys. It really is a great book. Zoey is the main chick in it and basically she just has to go through how to become a vampire and the hardships that comes with it.   

The second book I've been reading is obviously the second book in this series, "Betrayed". I really didn't think any book could be better than the first one, I was wrong. The second book is absolutely amazing! And I'm not even half way through it! The suspense just keeps me going. It continues on with Zoey and the struggles of her new vampire life. And get this! More creepy shit is still happening! :) And now Zoey struggles with trying to be a normal teen, a vampire, boy troubles, and the creepy stuff that's going on! This book has kept me on my toes trying to figure out what will happen next. 

The authors are P.C. & Kristin Cast. I've read P.C.'s books before and loved them! So, if you are into slightly different things than Vampires and High School. I recommend her Divine series! It is absolutely FANTASTIC! I think it's almost like an older more mature version of these books! The first book is "Divine by Mistake".  Book #2 is "Divine by Choice". Book #3 is "Divine by Blood". Book #4 is "Divine Beginnings". If you have read these books tell me what you thought about them in the comments. If you haven't read them go read them and then come back and tell me how you felt about them in the comments! Here are a few Beauty products I've been using and liking for a little while! 

I think I'll start with Beauty products I've been liking. 1) Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to The Bronze. It is a non-expensive creme eyeshadow. It has long wear time & I love this color! I am not crazy about the packaging but I also don't hate it. I just feel like eh, it's ok.  You can pick it up at your local drugstore.( Wal-mart, target, CVS, Walgreen's.. etc.)

2) Revlon lip Butters in Peach parfait! It makes your lips smooth and gives them the shine of lip gloss without that weird lip gloss feel. I love this specific color. It gives me just enough color to make my lips pop but not too much of a bright color so i can wear this color for daytime and night time! And it is in a cute little lipstick tube!! I love this packaging. And this is yet another non-expensive item that you can get at the drugstore!!

3) L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Amber Rush. Another eyeshadow! I love love love this eyeshadow! It's like a pressed shadow. And it is an absolutely beautiful color! It is an rose gold shimmery color. It looks beautiful on practically any skin tone and any eye color. If you like you can also use this as a highlighter. You can also find this non-expensive item at the places listed above.! :)

Hello to everyone out there. I am new to this. Obviously. 

I'll start off by giving you guys an idea of what I plan on blogging about here on this blog. Here are a few things this blog will contain. 1)Beauty things. ( Hair, makeup, and nails.. etc.) 2) Fashion. 3) Books I'm reading and reviews on them. 4) T.V shows & Movie reviews. 5) My day to day life and how i live it. 6) Video Games (If I'm playing any at the moment.) 


I hope you like my blog. I really hope over the days that I blog we can communicate about things and share our opinions.! The more I get use to this the longer they will become. But, I will always try to make them not TOO long.! I just wanna write here about the stuff i like and maybe you like too and we can communicate about it all.
